Pullenvale State School
Tuckshop
The Pullenvale School Tuckshop operates on a Wednesday and Friday, run by the School P&C. It is currently managed by Janice Burden and staffed by many wonderful school parents who volunteer for
different jobs.
A sample menu and price list is adjacent.
We encourage children to order healthy food
by providing a choice of freshly made salads, sandwiches, sushi and hot
items. Things like bolognaise sauce for nachos and
pasta are all made by our wonderful volunteers.
Fresh fruit is also always available and we encourage your children to
eat these as part of a healthy diet.
We also recognize tuckshop is a treat, so
items like chips, iceblocks, sparkling flavoured mineral water, flavoured milk
and fresh milk are also available.
A range of gluten free menu items are now
also available and these can be found on the Flexischools's menu when ordering
your tuckshop.
If your child has an allergy to certain
foods or needs a special diet we can help so please talk to the Tuckshop
coordinator.
Volunteers Always welcome!
All school parents are encouraged to
volunteer and depending on your circumstances there are different volunteer
roles.
These roles include:
Staffing
the tuckshop during opening hours:
Friday
8:00am –
12:00
Thursday
preparation: 2pm onwards
Thursday baking: Deliver a batch of cookies or muffins to the
tuckshop on Thursday afternoon or Friday at drop off.
How to order!
Pullenvale
School has an online ordering system for Tuckshop, called FlexiSchools. This
system allows parents, students and staff to place orders from home, work or
school at any time. The payment is also done online, so less paper bags, cash,
cheques, and envelopes are sent via your student to school. As well as being
convenient for parents, the online orders are much faster and easier for the
school coordinator to process - so it makes everyone’s life a little easier. FlexiSchools is well established and tested,
operating in hundreds of schools across Australia. All orders must be submitted by 1pm the day prior.
Getting online
is easy and only takes a few minutes to register. Simply go to www.flexischools.com.au and click “Register Now”. You will be sent an
email with further instructions on how to complete the registration. Once
registered, you can start placing orders immediately. If you have any
questions, FlexiSchools provide a great help desk on 1300 361 769, or you can
contact them via their website.
There are a
variety of payment options supported, including Visa, Mastercard (credit and
debit) and Bank Transfer. The system operates via a pre-paid account, so you no
longer have to worry about the manual process of sending payments into school,
and you can easily budget your students spending and expenses throughout the
year.
What happens on the day
tuckshop is available!
Lunch is prepared
and packed for collection by Class reps. The tuckshop is then opened for
students to buy left over hot food, drinks, iceblocks, muffins, cookies and
chips.
These items must
be pre-ordered by Prep Students and will be delivered to the classroom.
Pre-ordered iceblocks and milo may be collected from the tuckshop.
What if my child is
sick?
You are most
welcome to come and collect your child’s tuckshop order after 10:45am on the
day ordered from the tuckshop, otherwise it will be resold or returned to
stock without refund. As orders are processed and
purchased the day before, refunds and credits are not available. Cancelations of your order will be accepted
by Flexischools until 12pm the day prior.
