Brisbane City Council is pleased to announce the opening of the new Moggill District Sports Park located at 3660 Moggill Road, Moggill. The event will take place between 10am - 2pm on Saturday, 9 February 2019.
This free community event will include an opening by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, family entertainment, a sausage sizzle, and come-and try-activities; plus a number of fun children’s programs such as face painting and rock climbing.
As there is limited car-parking available at the site, shuttle buses will be operating from Moggill State School to the Moggill District Sports Park from 9.30am.
Council is committed to building an active and healthy city where residents and visitors can enjoy Brisbane’s beautiful parks and sport and recreational facilities. The Moggill District Sports Park is part of this vision.
The Moggill District Sports Park provides district-level sporting facilities to the wider Pullenvale Ward communities.
Park features include:
* two ovals suitable for Australian football and cricket two ovals suitable for Australian football and cricket
* four hard courts for netball and tennis
* a children’s playground
* supporting facilities including an amenities building and shelters for viewing the sports fields
* a car park including spaces for persons with disabilities and a coach loading bay.
