All students at Pullenvale are engaged in an exciting range of curriculum experiences that are designed to nurture their understanding and develop numeracy and literacy skills.
The Australian curriculum has now been introduced through all Australian schools to establish consistent "national standards to improve learning outcomes for all young Australians. It sets out, through content descriptions and achievement standards, what students should be taught and achieve, as they progress through school. It is the base for future learning, growth and active participation in the Australian community" (ACARA, 2014).
Students from Prep to year 6 study the National Curriculum for English, Maths, Science, History and Geography. Students also study other Key Learning Areas (KLAs) throughout the year, including Technology, Information Communication Technology (ICT), Health and Physical Education (PE) and The Arts.
Pullenvale is one of few schools in the State, that also offers Japanese) from Prep to Year 6. We also offer Dance and Drama lessons.
An Instrumental Music program is available to all students in years 4 to 6, offering lessons in woodwind, percussion and brass.
Students also have the opportunity to involve themselves in a vast array of extra-curricular activities, focusing on sporting, academic and cultural pursuits.
Our curriculum offerings and our excellent teachers who deliver our curriculum, are just one of the reasons we are
Proud to be Pullenvale.
